PDR8800, blurry image for moving objects, face detail comparison to TVD8710 (Focal Length)(FOV) - 20220830

Issues:

1. Moving objects appear blurry.

2. Human faces have less detail on the PDR8800 compared to the TVD8710 when the image is digitally zoomed.

Solution:

1. Please turn off WDR in the PDR8800 camera settings. (WDR is off by default)

2. This is due to the inherent limitation of wide angle lenses. The PDR8800’s focal length is shorter (1.68mm) compared to the TVD8710 (2.8mm). If the distance between the cameras and the monitored object are the same, the longer focal length will produce a more detailed image but with a smaller field of view, while the shorter focal length will produce a less detailed image but with a wider field of view.

To improve the detail of faces, please try increasing the PDR8800's sharpness setting from the default 50 to 70 – 80.
