Dedicated Micros & AD Network Video Corporate Overview highlights the real business benefits by choosing AD's specialised video and fire solutions. The Group has been operating globally for over 30 years providing integrated networked video surveillance products and management solutions to wide range of sectors including retail, banking, education, healthcare, transport and infrastructure. Technological developments pioneered by DM have formed the building blocks for the success of today's CCTV industry, earning the company a reputation as one of the industry's foremost innovative forces and the name behind some of the most advanced surveillance equipment on the market. RAIDR82T4 2.4 TB redundant external storage. The Dedicated Micros RAIDR82T4 is a 2.4TB RAID array for use with DM's digital video recorders. A redundant RAID array not only provides additional storage space but also offers fail-safe operation by being able to recover information from a failed disk. This makes it ideal for use in high security applications. This unit is compatible with all DM DVRs having a SCSI-2 connection including the ECO4 series. Increased storage space allows for a greater number of cameras to be recorded at a higher bit rate for longer periods of time before footage needs to be deleted or overwritten. 1.2TB of additional storage space translates to 100 days of continuous recording when the DVR is set to record in 24-hour time-lapse mode at 6 PPS and 18KB file sizes. This RAID unit is shipped factory configured for RAID Level 5. This level provides redundancy by writing data and parity information across three or more drives. In the event of one drive failing, this data is used to reconstruct the lost information. For maximum versatility, this unit's configuration can be changed from RAID 5 to RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3 or JBOD. Internal drives can be removed or replaced without powering down the unit. Additionally, this array ships with two internal power supplies and two fans, ensuring continuous operation should one of them fail. A power supply or fan can also be removed or replaced without powering down the unit. A Dedicated Micros DVR supports a maximum of seven external SCSI devices which can be a combination of hard drives units and CD/DVD burners. It is also possible to have both JBOD and RAID units connected to the same DVR. This unit includes a SCSI cable for easy hook-up to the DVR. Once connected, this array performs like the factory installed drive, allowing playback, search and archiving.
