The Dedicated Micros D4A4RSCD-300GB is a digital video recorder designed for CCTV applications that have only a few installed cameras (up to 4) but require a DVR loaded with the kind of features normally found on units with a greater number of inputs. Some of the key advantages this DVR has over an ECO series unit is a faster recording speed (60 PPS), audio I/O ports and an RS (Retail Solution) function. Retail Solution allows cash register, ATM and other retail oriented transactions to be recorded along with the video. In addition to its main storage drive, this unit has a built-in CD burner for archiving event footage. Also available, is a SCSI connector for attaching a fast and fail-safe RAID hard drive array. All DVR functions can also be accessed from a distance using the supplied remote control. Two built-in serial ports provide connections to POS terminals such as cash registers, ATM machines, credit card processors, electronic benefits processor (EBT) and similar devices. This makes it suitable for use in banks with ATM machines, retail stores with cash registers, hotel checkout desks or any other application where it is important to match-up video and audio footage with a particular transaction.

Upon power-up, this unit will auto detect active camera inputs and will immediately begin recording. An integrated time base correction function eliminates the need for external camera synchronization. Images can be viewed in full screen, PIP quad mode, 2x digital zoom (live mode) and freeze frame. Switching between cameras in full mode can be done manually or by programming auto switching with sequential dwell times.
