M7001 Video Encoder offers a highly compact design with superb H.264 performance, providing an easy and cost-effective solution for integrating small or large numbers of analog CCTV cameras into an IP-based video surveillance system. The palm-sized, standalone AXIS M7001 is designed for installation close to an analog camera. It supports all types of analog cameras including PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) and PTZ domes. AXIS M7001 is perfect for small and large analog video installations, especially where an IP network infrastructure is already in place.This could be because of cost reasons, as a means of keeping the camera covert, or so as not to disturb the neighbors.Maximum resolution 720 x 576. Compared to traditional light bulbs, solid state LED technology offers a high output with low energy consumption, resulting in huge savings in long-term operational and maintenance costs. Axis also designed it with exceptional resilience and incorporated advanced surface-mount technology LED's with a life-cycle up to 10 years. The included power supply unit has an adjustable photocell built into it. This will allow you to lower the power output on the LEDs to a point where you'll get adequate illumination while conserving energy. With its IP66 rated construction, you can safely install this unit in an outdoor location where it'll remain safe from weather and vandalism. Standerd memory is 64 MB .
