Evansville is a city in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. It has a current estimated population of 120,310 making it one of the most populous cities in the state. The area has been inhabited by humans for thousands of years with some of the earliest sites dating to 900 A.D. in the Angel Mounds area of Evansville. The city has three buildings on the National Register of Historic Places: the Central Library which is now home to the Children’s Museum of Evansville, the Reitz Home Museum and Willard Library.
