The Crown CTs 8200 is an eight-channel power amplifier designed for installed sound applications. Each channel delivers 200 watts at 4 ohms or 70 volts, and 160 watts at 8 ohms. The amplifier features selectable operation modes per channel pair, allowing for flexibility between low-impedance (4/8 ohms) and constant-voltage (70V/100V) systems. It also includes advanced protection mechanisms such as Fault Isolation Topology (FIT) circuitry, which isolates fault conditions without affecting neighboring channels, and Thermal Level Control (TLC) to prevent overheating by engaging input compressors proportionally. The CTs 8200 is equipped with comprehensive front-panel indicators for monitoring status and diagnostics, and utilizes a continuously variable-speed forced-air cooling system to maintain optimal operating temperatures.
