Axis Communications AXIS P3304-V Network Camera features an impact-resistant metal casing and is suitable for indoor installation in areas where vandalism is a concern.For video capture, this camera uses a 1/4" RGB CMOS sensor with 1 megapixel resolution. As a result, images are produced with exceptional clarity and color fidelity, factors which translate into a higher degree of security. Progressive scan and wide dynamic range technology further aid the camera in optimizing image quality in a variety of scene and lighting environments.The AXIS P3304-V camera supports multiple video streaming using the H.264 or MJPEG compression schemes. Each video stream can be individually adjusted for frame rates and bandwidth to suit a particular network structure.A unique feature of this camera is its pixel counter function, which calculates the number of pixels contained in a given part of the image, for example a person's face. This is an important feature for satisfying certain jurisdictions that require proof of resolution before an image can be submitted as evidence.This camera also has the ability to detect and activate an alarm if it detects the lens being blocked or spray painted. Alarm I/O ports allow the use of external alarm and relay devices. The ability to power the camera via the Ethernet cable (PoE) offers greater flexibility in camera placement while cutting down on installation costs.
