Question:

ASManager is not able to connect to the database is not able to display any log when swiping access cards?


Symptom:

It is possible that an abnormal PC reboot can result in the database (*.mdb) being corrupted.

In that case, the following might occur:

1. ASManager is not able to connect to the database and display devices when launched.

2. Log is not being displayed in ASManager when swiping access card.


Solution:

1. Close ASManager software and run ASMiniService.exe under the ASManager (C:\Access Control\ASManager\) folder to close all services.

2. Launch ASDBManager.exe (C:\Access Control\ASManager\) and select Compact Database to perform database repair.

3. When the process is completed, launch ASManager again and it will then be able to resume database connection.
