Now You Can View Your Security Camera Feed On Amazon’s Echo

View your camera’s live video feed on the Echo Show’s screen with a quick Alexa command.

If you thought being able to view your security camera feed in real-time on your mobile device was convenient, and you own an Amazon Echo, life is about to give you an even more convenient option. Today Amazon made an announcement that Alexa is now compatible with Nest, Netgear Arlo, LogitechAugust, Ring, Vivint, Ezviz, Amcrest, ICRealtime, and others.

The audio listening feature is still being developed, but the 7-inch screen on the Echo is an intuitive point of access.

All you have to do is pair your camera to the Alexa app, then use a simple phrase, like, “Alexa, show me the front door,” or, “Alexa, show me the nursery,” and it should pull up a live feed on the Echo Show’s screen.

This is a big step up for security in a “smart home” world, though that’s not to say the current integration apps for smart phones and other mobile devices such as EZview, the iMaxCam app, GV-eye and others.
