The WireMaster RJ-45 is a compact, hand-held instrument designed to quickly verify the wiring of un-energized, 8 conductor patch cables terminated with RJ-45 connectors. The 8 LEDs flash in sequence if the cable is wired correctly.
The Tone Tracer is an ergonomic, high-sensitivity probe for field service professionals. Used in conjunction with any analog tone generator, the Tone Tracer identifies wire and cable without having to make direct metallic contact with the conductor. The Tone Tracer can be used with a wearable headset or a standard cell phone headset.
The New, Improved Triplett Plus is an accurate, hand held digital voltmeter designed to measure both 6-volt and 12-volt batteries. It can also be used to check the vehicle's electrical system. Plus now contains a warning beeper that sounds when excessive voltage is applied to the unit.
The WireMaster XR-2 is the perfect test set for verifying the continuity of 2,3, or 4 pair UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cables terminated in RJ-11 or RJ-45 modular connectors (such as LAN cables or telephone cables). In the Remote mode (when only the Receiver is visible to the user), installed "straight through" and "reverse wired" cables can be identified and their continuity verified. In the Local mode (when both the Transmitter and Receiver are visible to the user), jumper, or "patch" cables can be tested, and their point to point wiring verified, regardless of whether they are "straight through", "reverse wired", "crossover wired", or of any wiring configuration. In both test modes, reversed, shorted, transposed, crossed, or open pairs are detected. In the Remote mode, an LED warns the user that the tested cable is mis-wired. The WireMaster XR-2 also generates Tracer Tones that may be used to locate un-energized cables, when used with an inductive tracer such as the Triplett Hound or Hound 2 Probe. The switch on the Transmitter selects testing of cables equipped with either RJ-11 or RJ-45 connectors. The switch on the Receiver selects testing of patch cables (Local test) or installed cables (Remote test). In use, the cable to be tested is connected between the Transmitter and the Receiver. The 8 LEDs on the Transmitter light in a predetermined sequence (right to left or left to right), while the LEDs on the Receiver light in a sequence determined by the wiring of the cable being tested. By examining the sequence in which the Receiver LEDs light, the user can determine the wiring of the cable. The Transmitter can be configured by the user (via internal jumpers) to sequence in Forward or Reverse direction, to sequence at a Fast or Slow pace, to use a High or Low pitched tracer tone, or to test 4 or 6 conductor RJ-11 cables.
The Resi-Tracer is a multifunction tone tracer with speaker phasing and telephone line monitoring capabilities. It is also a signal detector that locates standard generated tone signals, dial tone, and speaker popping signals. Resi-Tracer can conduct tone tracing for coax cable systems (both live and dark) and can be used for multiple field applications.
JDSU LB300 Phone Test Set Resi-Talker is Test-Um's most economical phone test set and phone line tester for basic telephone system work. New generation phone test set, compact size (7.5" length), lightweight (less than 10 oz.), and hands free use, the LB255Ranger DSL-Safe Phone Test Set is small enough to wear on a belt or even carry in your shirt pocket. Formerly Test-Um model LB300.
The 3260 WireMaster XR-5 tests 5 common LAN and computer cables up to *600': RJ-45, RJ-11, 1394 (Firewire), USB, and BNC. It is intended to test cables with straight through connections, not cables with reversed or transposed connections like LAN crossover cables or reverse wired telephone cables. LED's indicate proper connectons or faults and an audible beep provides annunciation of test results. The WireMaster XR-5 checks for: Continuity, Miswiring, Open lines, Shorts, Crossover, and Grounding...
The Resi-Toner™is a full-function toner generator that performs test functions to help determine the quality of connections on telephone systems and the performance of speakers. This easy-to-use tester is able to “power-up” installed telephone lines under actual load conditions with simulated dial tone to check connectivity and proper wiring configurations without requiring an actual service connection. Resi-Toner can test continuity and generate three different tones, including a unique tone sequence for testing speaker installations by “popping” speakers (either AC or DC coupled speaker types.)
The Triplett remote identifiers are small units used in conjunction with the Triplett PairMaster for LAN cable identification. They properly terminate the LAN cable when connected to a wall jack. The identifiers contain the necessary circuitry to allow the PairMaster to verify proper wiring within the cable. The 16 remote identifiers have an overvoltaged LED which lights to indicate the presence of damaging voltage.
