The Bosch VS8394/41T multiplexer system consists of an 8-input color monitor and 1 VC7D1305T mini dome camera. The monitor accepts up to 8 cameras and is designed as a security system for small-to-medium sized businesses such as retail stores. Camera images are displayed in full screen or in various groups of up to 8 in a 3x3 matrix on a single screen. Any of the 8 camera images can be outputted for recording to a DVR. The included mini dome camera provides quality security in a discreet manner and uses a built-in motion detector for alerting the operator to unexpected activities. A built-in microphone offers one-way voice communication between camera and monitor. This system is backed by a three-year manufacturer's warranty with an advanced replacement program. The monitor accepts up to 8 cameras and displays images in full screen or in multi-screen with four cameras in real-time quad (2x2) or all 8 cameras in a 3x3 matrix. Switching between cameras can be done manually on the monitor or by programming sequential dwell times for each camera in full screen. A picture-in-picture feature allows a second camera to be simultaneously viewed. The included VC7D1305T color mini dome cameras feature an integrated 3mm fixed lens and use a number of electronic controls for auto adjusting under various lighting environments. Compact and stylish in design, these dome cameras provide quality surveillance in a discreet manner. A single RJ-11 cable, carrying video, audio, power and communication signal connects the camera to the monitor. This type of cable allows the camera to be placed at distances of up to 600 ft (200m) from the monitor. Using the camera's built-in microphone in conjunction with the monitor's speaker offers one-way voice communication. It accepts optional intercom devices with remote door opening and external alarm sensors. At the event of an alarm triggered by the camera's motion detector or by an external sensor, the monitor will bring up the affected camera and will use an event replay function to display crucial pre-and-post event footage
