The Pelco MPTAZ Desktop Joystick Control integrates a 24 VAC pan/tilt, scanner, and motorized zoom lens functions into a single desktop control. The Joystick Control lets you alternate between random scan and auto scan, with an adjustable time delay. Auto scan operation automatically returns to random scan after approximately 30 minutes. The auto/random scan operation increases the unit's life with a short duty cycle that lowers the gear train / drive motor wear, cable fatigue, and motor temperature.
An 8-position joystick controls the pan/tilt functions with up, down, left, right, and simultaneous pan / tilt combinations. 8 momentary push-button switches control zoom, focus, iris, lens speed, and auto /random select. An output pin for a Pelco scanner allows auto scanning when the unit is either in the random or auto setting. Alternatively, the left/right functions of the joystick allow manual operation of the scanner.
The desktop control can be used with Pelco's RB24 relay box to increase the operating distance up to 13,000' with 16 AWG. An optional rack mount kit (R400) allows you to mount 2 controls side-by-side.
