The G4-525N digital color pinhole camera features Sony’s latest patented Super HAD™ CCD technology. The camera offers an ultra high resolution of more than 560 TV lines. This pinhole camera is the ultimate when it comes to discreet surveillance. Most pinhole cameras spec 350TVL as high resolution. This camera features an amazing 560TVL of resolution providing great clarity and detail. In addition most pinhole cameras use a standard quality 1/4” CCD sensor, but this compact micro camera still uses a high quality Sony 1/3” CCD. In addition, the low light performance of this ultra high resolution color camera is amazing. Able to capture usable video at a low 0.1 lux, which is equivalent to a full moon’s light. The camera also features backlight compensation, allowing automatic compensation for objects within strong background lighting. This eliminates the worries typically found with pinhole cameras and intense lighting. Encased in an incredibly compact 1 inch square enclosure, the G4-525N sits in a hinge that allows the installer to tilt to virtually any angle. The super conical 3.7mm pinhole lens only requires 1/16” view opening to display a wide 90° angle of view. Installers will be hard pressed to find a higher performing true high resolution pinhole as the G4-525N. Super crisp, ultra high 560TVL resolution capturing 768 x 494 pixels at a low 0.1 lux make the G4-525N the ultimate in discreet surveillance. [Click here for Detailed Specifications] |

Lines of Resolution:
A Surveillance Camera's performance is based on the
number of horizontal lines that the chip in the camera provides. The
lines of resolution determines the quality of the video the camera can
produce. The higher the number of lines of resolution, the better the
video quality is.
Lens: The lens determines the field of view the camera provides. Lenses range from 2.8mm to 18mm on an average. The larger the lens size the farther it will view. The draw back to a 12mm or 18mm lens is that the horizontal view narrows to as little as 15 feet.
*Many of our customers require a standard fixed wide angle 3.6mm lens. They are designed to be installed in a corner, provide a 90 degree field of view, and provide effective surveillance in a 30 x 30 foot area. If you need to adjust the angle and are not sure when viewing a cash register or looking down aisles, we recommend a vari-focal lens which you can adjust manually based on the angle and distance of the camera to the subject. For example, with a cash register we recommend a 4-8mm vari-focal lens so you can manually adjust and capture the money, hands, and register close up. When in doubt, go with a vari-focal adjustable lens.
