The Pelco Spectra IV SE Heavy Duty Dome System (Indoor) includes an in-ceiling back box, a clear dome with a protective cage and a 35x day/night camera. This indoor system offers high structural integrity and resistance to vandalism. The overall durability of the enclosure is enhanced by the dual wall construction and added thickness. The system is suited for schools, detention centers, prisons and vandalism-prone operation areas.
With reinforced mounting, the aluminum in-ceiling back box secures the camera and features built-in memory, an integrated passive UTP circuit, 2 auxiliary outputs, and 7 alarm inputs.
The clear dome ensures high optical clarity and has an operating temperature of 32° to 122°F. It is made from injection-molded polycarbonate and is 3.5 times stronger than earlier heavy-duty bubbles. The aluminum trim ring has 2 barrel-type key locks to make the system more tamper-resistant.
To safeguard against vandalism, the dome has a black stainless steel cage that helps protect it, and is also removable for cleaning. The camera eliminates interference from the cage by automatically focusing through the cage bars at medium to high zoom.
A 1/4" EXview HAD image sensor in the DD4CBW35 day/night camera offers a high resolution of 540TVL with 2:1 interlace scanning. With 128x wide dynamic range, the camera provides high-quality images even in low light conditions. It has a varifocal lens with a focal length of 3.4-119 mm at f/1.4 and a 35x optical zoom.
The auto-focus feature automatically focuses the camera on to the selected object or area. Auto white balance takes a standard white color reference to adjust the RGB (red, green, and blue) colors to produce good quality images in a wide range of lighting conditions. Automatic iris control adjusts the amount of light passing through the lens. AC line lock is used to eliminate timing discrepancies in H/V sync that cause picture interruptions at the switching point. In addition to image enhancement, the camera also has electronic image stabilization that counters the vibrations caused by moving traffic or strong winds.
