GeoVision Driver & Software Installation Procedure
for GeoVision

1. Insert GeoVision Multicam Surveillance System DVD into the DVD-ROM, when the disk runs automatically, the following menu should pop up
- If your DVD does not run automatically, go to My Computer, then right-click on the DVD-ROM, and select Open
In the DVD contents, run Setup.exe then you should be able to see the same menu as in Step 1
Driver Installation
2. Select Install or Remove GeoVision GV-Series Driver
3. Select Install or Remove GeoVision GV-Series Cards Driver
4. Select Install to install driver. Allow the installer to run completely until �Install Successfully� message comes up then select Exit and return to main menu in Step 1
- If you wish to remove current driver which is already installed, you may select Remove to remove the current driver
- If you are installing from a downloaded file, after you have extracted all contents, browse Driver folder
Then double-click to run DrvInst.exe, which should lead you to the same menu as in Step 4
Software Installation
5. In the GeoVision main menu, select Install GeoVision v8.5.0.0 System
6. Select GeoVision Main System
7. Select the correct GeoVision card model to be installed, then click Next
- Please verify your GeoVision card model with the box or the video capture card directly, installing the wrong software will likely result in error after installation
- If you are installing from a downloaded file, after you have extracted all contents, run SETUP.EXE, which should lead you to the same menu as in Step 7
8. Select NTSC, then click Next
9. Select the software resolution to be installed which best matches your desktop resolution, click Next
10. Select the directory for the software to be installed, (By default the saving directory is under C:\) then click Next
11. Click Next to create a Program Folder
12. Select Yes if you would like GeoVision Multicam software to start when Windows starts, otherwise, select No
13. Select Yes if you are also using GeoVision IR Remote Control, otherwise, select No
14. Allow the software installer to complete. Once completed, select Yes, Restart My Computer Now as prompted and you may use GeoVision Multicam software after PC reboots
