Tips:

  • 1 fps (frames per second) is the lowest frame rate recordable and 30 frames per second is the maximum which is real time and comparable to DVD video playback.

  • There is no real need to record in real time unless there are regulatory reasons as in case of government facilities or banks and casinos. Point of Sale / POS Cameras are recommended to record at 15 to 30 fps to ensure that each movement of each dollar tender can be recorded and played back with accurate clarity.
  • Recording at 1 frame per second is what traditional analog systems record
  • At 5 - 7 frames per second recording you will not miss any activity (remember this is per second)
